GRIVORY G FE4494 and GRIVORY G FE4495 -
New Amorphous Nylon Copolymers from EMS

GRIVORY G FE4494 and GRIVORY G FE4495 are amorphous PA 6I/69/66 copolyamides.

Compared to the well known members of amorphous Nylons from PA6I/6T type these new grades show among other things lower TGs for improved orientability at lower orientation temperatures.

In mixtures with semi-crystalline polyamides they also result in a reduction of crystallinity and thus enables higher and easier orientation.

This can be specially favourable in deep-draw applications and (bi)oriented applications like e.g. artificial casings, sausage casings, shrinkbags or technical applications where improved orientability, high shrink and high shrink force are desirable.

As mixing partner semi-crystalline polyamides like e.g. PA6, PA66, PA610, PA612, PA6/66, PA66/6, PA6/12, PA6/69, PA66/610 as well as other semi-crystalline homo- and copolyamides are suitable.
