EMS-GRIVORY at the "Best Fakuma ever"

The 23rd Fakuma trade fair took place from October 14 – 18, 2014 in Friedrichshafen (Germany). This year’s plastics trade fair showed a further record number of visitors and EMS-GRIVORY also had good reason to be happy.

After the K trade fair last year, EMS-GRIVORY included the Fakuma trade fair in its agenda again this autumn. In terms of worldwide importance to the trade sector, this international expert trade fair for plastics processing, located in Friedrichshafen on the German shores of Lake Constance, is second only to the K trade fair. This year again the event set a series of new records: Over the five days, 45'689 participants from 117 countries visited the stands of 1772 exhibitors from 36 countries. Based on these excellent figures, the fair organisers quickly proclaimed the 23rd trade fair in the series to be the “Best Fakuma ever”.

Various new projects launched

EMS-GRIVORY also had good reason to celebrate. Nearly 700 participants visited the new and generously designed EMS stand – around 6 per cent more than in 2012. Over a glass of fine Grisons wine, cheese and cold cuts, many existing customer contacts were renewed and numerous potential customers welcomed.
Centre of attention at this year’s Fakuma were the products Grivory GVX, Grivory LFT und Grivory HT3. Many new applications were discussed and some new projects were actually initiated during the trade fair. Our customers see these newly developed products as providing great potential for further metal replacement projects and we were able to further strengthen our image as a competent development partner for cost and weight-saving solutions.

Successful stand party, positive echo

Once again, the traditional EMS stand party (unofficially the cult trade fair party), was a real crowd puller. Singer Joe Whitney, with his band "The Street Live Family" and the "Cocktail Divas" really rocked the jam-packed EMS stand and the party was a complete success.
Not only the party, but the whole trade fair event can be considered a success. There is still room for minor improvements in some areas but overall, in the final evaluation, the EMS Team gave the Fakuma 2014 good to very good marks.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to the stand personnel, the service team and all other people involved. I am looking forward to the next Fakuma October 13 – 17, 2015.
