In order to better satisfy growing demands from industry, EMS-GRIVORY is expanding its wide product range of high-performance polymers with the introduction of polyketone. The new Grinyl products, based on patented EMS-GRIVORY technology, are characterized by improved flame protection and processing properties. The expansion of the product range reflects EMS-GRIVORY's commitment to deliver innovative and high-performance solutions for industry.

Improved processing

Thanks to innovative technology, the new polyketones from EMS-GRIVORY offer a significantly wider processing window. Even with longer residence times in the melt, the viscosity remains stable, guaranteeing consistent mechanical properties of the components. Grinyl K products impress with their easy flowability and are particularly suitable for applications with long flow paths or complex molds.

Key properties

The new GRINYL product range includes unreinforced, reinforced and flame-retardant products with the following properties:

  • CO2 footprint: Aliphatic polyketone with a lower CO2 footprint than POM, PBT or standard polyamides
  • Resistant to chemicals: Resistant to acids, lyes and solvents as well as automotive and industrial media.
  • Flame protection: UL 94 V0 based on patented EMS-GRIVORY technology
  • Heat deflection temperature: High heat deflection temperature up to 220°C for glass-fiber reinforced products
  • Tribology: Very good wear and abrasion properties
  • Processability: Wide processing window thanks to patented EMS-GRIVORY technology

The chemical resistance of Grinyl K is impressively illustrated by storage in battery acid.
